About us
PubDesk is not a software company's guess at what publishers need. It is the internal toolset of a working publishing and distribution operation, packaged so other independent publishers can run on it too.
PubDesk didn't start in a software lab. It started inside a music publishing and distribution operation in Latin America — processing real royalty statements, registering real works, and paying real songwriters every month. The spreadsheets that break at scale, the statement formats that never match, the songwriter asking where a number came from: we didn't read about those problems. We closed the books with them.
So we built tools for ourselves. A statement processor that survives whatever a source sends. A work registration flow that ends in a valid CWR 2.1 file. A cash-flow view that tells you what you actually owe each rightsholder. Every screen in PubDesk exists because someone on our team needed it during a month-end closing — not because a roadmap said it would demo well.
Eventually other publishers started asking to use what we had. PubDesk is that answer: the same platform, white-labeled with your logo, your colors and your domain, in English, Spanish or Portuguese — for a flat $99 a month.
What we believe
Matching statements, chasing metadata, rebuilding the same spreadsheet every quarter — that is mechanical work, and software should do it. PubDesk automates the repetitive parts so your hours go to catalog, deals and songwriters.
Every payout should trace back to a source line in a statement. When a songwriter asks where a figure came from, the answer should take seconds, not a week of archaeology. Transparency is a feature, not a favor.
Your songwriters sign with you, not with us. PubDesk runs under your logo, your colors and your own domain — a portal that strengthens your relationship with your roster instead of renting it out to a third-party brand.
The philosophy
Tell us about your catalog and we'll set up your white-label environment — your logo, your colors, your domain.
